Although a lot of people really enjoyed the DIY Fall Decor Ideas + DIY’s, I felt like it wasn’t “me”. It was a great video with a lot of quick, easy, and inexpensive DIY’s for Fall, but nothing I would personally have around my home. Just because it is very traditional and that’s just not my particular style. So instead of re-doing all the projects I just decided to make some cute DIY Halloween Pumpkins. AKA “Glamkins”=glamorous pumpkins!
All you need to do is paint your pumpkin whatever color you want it to be and then stick thumbtacks through it in whatever pattern you’d like.
Paint your pumpkin whatever color you want it to be. I used spray paint and just painted the top of the pumpkin. It isn’t perfect and it wasn’t even my intention from the beginning to only to the top half. As I was spray painting the pumpkin I thought it looked so cool that I decided to leave it like that. After the paint dried, I put some mod podge just on the top of the pumpkin and kinda just spread it downwards in no perfect fashion. Then I just poured the glitter on top and let it go wherever it wanted to go.
This one is like a mix of the two. I started out by spray painting the pumpkin and using these sticker rhinestones I found on sale at Michaels. I did the same pattern as the thumbtacked pumpkin because I liked the way it looked. Then I just placed thumbtacks in the middle of them. I glued the top and put glitter on top of it. Easy, peasy!
Which one is your fav?
