Today marks one year since the passing of Dan. I miss him so much. What I wouldn’t give to have one more day with him. I wanted to do something in his memory. One of the first projects we ever made together was the Guitar Pick Table Top . The guitar pick table is still as beautiful today as it was when we first made it, so today I’m sharing with you another epoxy resin project. I hope you enjoy this video.

I started out by using Mod Podge to glue the cd cases down. If I could go back in time, I would have not painted the top of the table prior to gluing the cd cases. This will help prevent bubbles from forming.

It’s also important to remember to smooth out your album cases (or whatever you’re gluing down).

You want to make sure whatever you’re gluing down is flat and secure against the table. You don’t want anything peeling off because this will cause your epoxy to form under it and push it up through the surface.

I used a box cutter to cut around the edges since my table is round.

Epoxy resin is waterproof.

Enjoy your new table! Please tag me if you decide to make this using #LJDIY because I love to see your projects!
