“Glamping” Party Favors

Jayli’s birthday party is coming up so quickly and I’m so glad we started planning it when we did. Which reminds me, over the weekend I was watching old home videos of when I was little and having my 8th birthday. Times were so different. We weren’t poor by any means, but there were no themes, no fancy cake, no party favors, nothing brag-worthy or even worth sharing…yet, those were the memories that I remember. Spending the day with my friends and family and hiding underneath the table in embarrassment mid-way through “Happy Birthday” being sang to me. I thoroughly enjoy making things, being crafty and having this hobby as a creative outlet. I can only hope Jayli will remember not just the material things we do for her, but also the memories she will make with her friends.

I got this idea online so I can’t take all the credit for this. I love a good pun so I had to throw that in there as well. I just had these printed at Walgreens, horribly cut the into a circle and hole punched into the label. They’re huge and I could have went much smaller…but whatever. I had some ribbon leftover that I used to tie it around the goody bag.

I found it the easiest to open the bag, place the graham cracker in there and then the chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker, then twist the top and put the twisty tie on there.

I can’t get over how cute the “camp Jayli” looks on these.

It was a really easy DIY that looks super cute, at least in my opinion.

If the refreshment table looks bare, I’ll leave these out. If we end up needing more room, I’ll put them in the treat bags. I just think they look so cute to hide them.

I found these adorable hot pink treat bags that fit the party favors perfectly as well. I liked that they came with 12 included and all I had to do to assemble them was open them up. We used black stickers to put her friends name on the boxes. Well, at least those who RSVP’d…

Instead of having to send out invitations after the party, I just included a thank you note inside the treat bag for them to take home. Do you send out thank you cards?

We filled the treat bags with the thank you card, emoji keychain (she’s obsessed with emoji’s), and a flashlight keychain. The flashlights come in a pack of 12 with batteries already installed so that’s why I decided on these.

This week Jayli and I have been marking our cleaning to-do list out in prep for her party. I cleaned out my desk and found this lightbox that was still in the box and I had totally forgotten about it! I was going to do a video on it, like a first impressions type video but I never got around to doing it. I thought it would be cool to start using it 🙂 Let me know if you guys wanna see a review on it after I test it out.

We are almost ready for her party! All the indoor cleaning is complete. Signage is almost done (I’ll be sharing those soon), mulch has been cleaned out, and bug killer has been sprayed. We still have a few more things to get done before her party, but mostly stuff that needs to get done outside. Let me know if you would want me to share a copy of my cleaning list and party prep. Thanks for reading! Party on….
