My Makeup Routine (Natural + Cruelty Free)

Hey guys! It has been requested that I show you the makeup products that I use. Years ago I decided to start going through all my hair care products, makeup and beauty products, cleaning products, etc… in my home and transition into a more natural, toxic free, vegan, cruelty free lifestyle.

It has taken me a long time to find these tried and true products that I use every day. I’m still transitioning, but I have found these holy grails that I absolutely love and wanted to share them with you.

I also would love to hear feedback from you and would love to hear what you use and the brands you trust.

I use this face lotion every day after I get out of the shower before I put my makeup on and I put it on after I take my makeup off – before I head to bed. I use it as a primer before I put my foundation on and I feel like it helps my foundation to blend even better.

Now that my face is moisturized, I go in with this blemish banish correcting cream. I use the peach under my eyes and the green over any redness. I use a little bit of the peach and the yellow in between my eyebrows to cover up my birthmark.

Then I go in with this liquid foundation and use my blending sponge to blend it all in. I LOVE this foundation. Before I made the “natural transition” I used Revlon Colorstay foundation and I would say that I like this one even better. It’s not heavy or cakey- it smells good – and it lasts all day. It’s natural yet still buildable. I use the shade “Vanilla” and apply it with this blending sponge.

These blending sponges are better than any beauty blender I have ever used.

To create a cat-eye I use this eyeliner.

And after months and months of trying multiple natural mascaras, I have finally found one that I LOVE. I’m really picky with my mascara because I like my eyelashes to look a certain way. This mascara is great, but there is a trick to applying it. You have to go one layer at a time allowing it to dry in between coats. It will clump up if you use too much and you don’t wait long enough for it to dry in between coats so be careful.

I also use this lipliner to slightly overline my top lips because I feel like my lips are a little thin. I bought the shade “Nude” and I love that it doesn’t have that ugly brown color to it. It’s natural, yet still pigmented enough to do the trick. It glides on like butter and stays on all day.

After my makeup is on I spray my face with rose water to set it and I feel like this makes my foundation and powder all melt into my face for a flawless look.

Ok guys, I know I’m not a beauty guru and I’m not even close to being a makeup artist. But I am a woman who loves to wear makeup and use products that aren’t toxic and doesn’t harm animals while doing so. If you have any comments or advice, please let me know! I’m still on the hunt for a highlighter, face powder, and some eyeshadows so if you have any suggestions, let me know! <3

Lots of Love, Laci
