Today I’m going to show you how to make a DIY canopy princess bed and I’ also going to show you how I hung it up onto the ceiling.

You will need:

Spray paint (optional)
23 inch embroidery hoop (twin size bed)
Grosgrain ribbon (I used 5/8 inch)
S Hooks (2)
1 set of sheer curtains (2 panels)
Needle & white thread

Directions:

Unscrew the embroidery hoop and slide the curtains through them

I put two panels on the hoop

Close the embroidery hoop (don’t do it super tight because you will need to put the smaller hoop through it)

I marked 3 spots on the embroidery hoop and cut my grosgrain ribbon into 3 equal lengths. I folded the ribbon in half and folded it around where I marked the hoop.

I connected all 3 of the ribbon together in the middle and sewed them together using needle and thread. Make sure this is secure.

Take the smaller hoop and put it inside of the bigger hoop and tighten up the embroidery hoop.

Hang it up using S hooks onto the ceiling.
