UPDATE: It has been 6 years since I’ve made this DIY and the mirror is still in perfect condition. It’s just as nice as it was the day I made it.
Today I’m doing a Pottery Barn inspired Dollar Tree DIY! This easy DIY large mirror only cost me $8 to make as opposed to the Pottery Barn large mirror in the $500 range. What I love about this Pottery Barn Mirror Dupe is that the Dollar Tree DIY large mirror is sturdy, heavy, great quality, and it looks just as nice as the Pottery Barn mirror. I promise you nobody would ever expect this Pottery Barn mirror dupe was made with materials from Dollar Tree.
If you’re new here, welcome! The current project I’m working on is our entry room. I’m challenging myself to make over my entry space on a very limited budget. I’m talking $200 max for the entire room type of budget. One of my favorite DIY projects in this space is my Pottery Barn mirror dupe. I made this mirror dupe with materials from Dollar Tree. This Dollar Tree DIY is so easy to make anyone can do this. So let’s get started.
There are a couple reasons why I wanted a mirror in this entry room:
1) The entry room is small and mirrors open up the space, reflect light, and make the room appear to be bigger.
2)Having a mirror in the entry room is perfect for last minute touch ups before heading out the door.
3) I wanted to put something above the DIY Coat Rack Photo Ledge to fill that space in and a mirror was the perfect solution for that.
You will need:
3/4″ Plywood
8 mirrors (or however many you’d like to use)
PL 530 Adhesive
Directions:
- Cut your plywood to size (whatever size you would like)
- Lay your mirrors out how you’d like them to go
- Attach the mirrors using PL530
- Allow it to dry for 24 hours
See, I told you it was easy. Now, let’s walk through this Pottery Barn Inspired Mirrors and Dollar Tree DIY together…
This is the adhesive I used that I had leftover from my DIY Mirrored Nightstands DIY. This will not stain or damage your mirrors and it bonds in wet and humid areas. When I tell you this stuff is heavy duty and you will not have to worry about your mirrors falling off, I’m serious.

I knew that I wanted to make my mirror around 32″ wide and around 22″ tall for my entry room. To accomplish this, I purchased 10 mirrors from Dollar Tree for this Pottery Barn mirror dupe. I purchased 2 extra mirrors in case I accidently broke one or decided I wanted to add another row.
I laid the mirrors out 4 mirrors wide and 2 mirrors tall.
I found a piece of scrap plywood in the garage that was the perfect fit for this DIY.
TIP! If I didn’t have scrap plywood, I would have measured how many mirrors tall and wide, and cut the plywood about 1″ smaller than that. I didn’t want the plywood flush with the mirrors. I didn’t want the plywood to show.
Then I simply glued the mirrors down onto the plywood using PL530. I didn’t use any weight or clamps because I didn’t want to risk breaking, scratching, or damaging the mirrors in any way. I just kept this project flat and let gravity do the work.
24 hours later…this was the result.
This Pottery Barn Dollar Tree Dupe is absolutely beautiful. And not only is it beautiful, but that sucker is heavy. It’s durable. And it looks very high-end. The light from my entry door combined with our new chandelier bounces off the DIY Pottery Barn Mirror Dupe and fills this room with so much light and opens up this space.

I’m so happy with how this DIY Dollar Tree Pottery Barn Mirror Dupe turned out and 6 years later, I still love it just as much as the day I made it.
