I can’t believe Jayli will be going into third grade in less than a month. I wanted a way to organize all her supplies, paperwork, flyers, classroom directory, and all the other insane amounts of papers she brings home. This is the door to my craft closet so it was the perfect place to store all that information. So, I made an easy DIY command center with items for Dollar Tree.
BEFORE
AFTER
Most of the items I found at Dollar Tree or stuff I already had on hand.
I use 6 sink mats, a shower caddy, zip ties, and 6 purple bins from Dollar Tree to create the caddy organizer.
I started by zip tying all the sink mats together like this
Then I attached the organizers onto the sink mats with more zip ties
I attached the sink mat onto the shower caddy, then hung the shower caddy onto the door using a command hook (also from Dollar Tree). I had the green clipboard and attached it also onto the shower caddy.
I used card stock paper and attached tiny clothes pins onto them with glue dots to hold important docs.
It may look sparse now, but I guarantee it won’t be once school starts and I’ll be glad I did it.
2 thumbs up for this easy DIY!
